DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: APRIL 2009. Between 2008 and 2009 I made a few trips to Dubai to make a photo reportage on the workers building the Burj Khalifa Hotel – the tallest building in the world, at this time. This is a series of portraits I made of some of the men I met out there. Steelworkers, bus drivers, camp cooks, security guards and cleaners – these are some of the men who made the building happen.
